In Kyiv, seven districts were impacted by the strikes. Tymur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, confirmed one fatality and seven injuries—among them, a child.
The National Police said the assault damaged residential and commercial buildings, a kindergarten, warehouses, garages, and multiple vehicles.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko stated that the entrance to the Lukyanivska metro station, located in the city center, was also destroyed.
Simultaneously, the western Ivano-Frankivsk region was hit, injuring four people—including a child—according to the State Emergency Service. The strikes caused damage to homes, garages, and several industrial and storage facilities.
The Ukrainian Air Force reported that Russia launched a massive overnight offensive involving 426 drones—both combat and decoy types—along with 24 cruise and hypersonic missiles.
By 9:30 a.m. local time (0630 GMT), air defense forces had successfully intercepted all 24 missiles and 403 drones. Still, 23 attack drones managed to strike three separate locations, while drone debris landed across 12 different sites.
