Gaza Genocide: Israeli Atrocities Kill at Least Six Palestinians

(MENAFN) At least six Palestinians lost their lives and several others sustained injuries on Sunday as Israeli forces intensified aerial bombardments targeting Gaza City and the northern regions of the besieged enclave.

Medical officials reported that three individuals were killed when Israeli drones launched strikes near the Sheikh Radwan water basin in northern Gaza City.

The remaining fatalities occurred during separate air raids carried out across central Gaza and northern governorates since the early hours of Sunday, the sources noted.

On the ground, Israeli troops conducted demolition operations in the eastern Gaza neighborhood of Shejaiya, destroying several homes using explosives.

Simultaneously, Israeli artillery units shelled multiple neighborhoods in eastern Gaza City, while naval forces fired on Palestinian fishermen operating near Al-Qarara, off the coast west of Khan Younis in the southern part of the enclave.

The latest round of attacks comes amid a worsening humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza. On Saturday alone, more than 130 Palestinians were killed in Israeli airstrikes and gunfire across the territory, including 38 civilians reportedly waiting for humanitarian aid and three children who died from acute malnutrition, according to official Palestinian sources.

Since the beginning of Israel’s military campaign in October 2023, nearly 59,000 Palestinians—predominantly women and children—have been killed in the Gaza Strip. The offensive has decimated civilian infrastructure, collapsed the health care system, and triggered a massive food crisis.

In November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, citing war crimes and crimes against humanity committed in Gaza.

Additionally, Israel is currently facing genocide allegations at the International Court of Justice over its ongoing military operations in the enclave.
