Sattar Hashemi, the minister of Information and Communications Technology, shared the update on the social media platform X, just one day after a ceasefire agreement ended 12 days of intense fighting between the two nations.
Internet restrictions were initially imposed by Iran soon after Israel carried out a series of airstrikes on June 13. Following the aerial attacks, pro-Israeli hackers reportedly launched cyber assaults on Iran’s banking network, causing disruptions across multiple financial institutions.
